3 Ultimate Raw Spreads
3 ultimate raw spreads which will save you from reaching into the "naughty" pantry😉
All vegan, and dairy and refined sugar free
First up is natures answer to caramel and butterscotch sauce and believe me you won't be disappointed... It's fussy husband approved! Great with oats, in smoothies and on just about everything!
RAW BUTTERSCOTCH CARAMEL SAUCE
1 cup pitted dates
1/4 cup cashews
1 cup almond mylk
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
1 tablespoon coconut oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Soak the dates + cashews in freshly boiled water + leave for 30 minutes. Add the soaked mix to a blender with the remaining ingredients + blend until smooth.
Second is a healthy version of Nutella which is pretty damn good and amazing on pancakes (I post the ultimate gluten free pancakes soon) it's beautiful with sliced strawberries for a sweet snack
RAW NUTELLA
1/4 cup cacao powder
1 cup hazelnut meal
2/3 cup maple syrup
Pinch of salt and chilli flakes
(Added almond mylk to get desired consistency)
Making your own almond butter is so basic and the best part is you can make it smooth or crunchy to your taste. I use it nearly every day in protein smoothies or on sliced apple or celery sticks
RAW ALMOND BUTTER
2 cups raw almond meal
Pinch of Himalayan salt
About 2 tbp coconut oil
